Blockchain technology is gaining significant traction in Poland as Aleph Zero collaborates with the country's largest bank, PKO Bank Polski (PKO BP), and the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs during the Degen Hack event. Organized by Degen House, the hackathon and conference is set to draw a host of institutions, associations, and universities into the burgeoning field of Web3.

A Meeting of Minds in Blockchain and Traditional Business

The event boasts participation from entities such as GovTech Polska, the Swiss-Polish Blockchain Association, Polish Blockchain Association, Next Block Expo, ETH Warsaw, AGH University of Science and Technology, and the University of Silesia. It provides a platform for web3 hackers to engage with Aleph Zero's ecosystem, encouraging them to contribute solutions that enhance its value proposition.

The hackathon will commence on Friday, February 16th, taking place both at the PKO BP office in Warsaw and online. It will run through the weekend until February 18th. In addition to the hacking activities, Antoni Żółciak is slated to participate in a panel discussion focused on synergies between blockchain projects and traditional businesses.

Compliant Privacy: A New Paradigm for Blockchain

Aleph Zero aims to address concerns around blockchain transparency, scalability, and regulatory clarity by introducing what they refer to as 'compliant privacy.' This concept is crucial for businesses that have been hesitant to adopt blockchain technology due to compliance issues. Aleph Zero's strategy involves a privacy engine that utilizes zero-knowledge proofs and on-chain KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) monitoring mechanisms. This approach allows for optional gated solutions that align with regulatory requirements.

As the regulatory landscape continues to evolve, Aleph Zero's efforts in defining 'compliant privacy' could pave the way for broader acceptance of blockchain technology in various industries. The company promises further insights into regulatory trends in blockchain later this week.
