In a significant development for users of the Arbitrum network, the RewardRouter address has been officially updated. The change comes with new functionalities designed to improve the governance and reward mechanisms within the ecosystem.

Transition to a New RewardRouter Address

The previous RewardRouter address, which can be verified at Arbiscan, has been replaced by a new one. Users and integrators are now required to interact with the updated RewardRouter at this new address. This shift is mandatory for all integrations that previously used the old contract.

Enhancements to Governance and Reward Limits

One of the notable upgrades with the new RewardRouter is the implementation of on-chain voting. This feature was introduced following a proposal that can be viewed on Snapshot. Furthermore, the update introduces a cap on the Multiplier Point boost percentage, now limited to 200%. This decision was also made through a community vote, emphasizing the decentralized nature of governance in the platform.

Upcoming Disabling of Previous Contract

Integrations are advised to make the transition to the new address as soon as possible. The previous RewardRouter contract is scheduled to be disabled on February 1, 2024, ceasing all its functionalities. Users are urged to update their configurations to avoid any disruptions in their interactions with the RewardRouter.

Stability in GLP Rewards

Despite these changes, it should be noted that the GlpRewardRouter contract remains unaffected by this update. For developers and users seeking more detailed information, documentation is available at GMX Docs.

Future Updates for Avalanche Network

The announcement also hints at a similar update that will take place on the Avalanche network. Details regarding this future change will be provided in a separate announcement, indicating a continued effort to enhance and align reward systems across different networks.
