Avalanche Joins the Interchain
According to recent reports, the Interchain Foundation (ICF) has announced that Avalanche (Avax) is joining the Interchain. Landslide, a development team, is said to be at the forefront of this move, working on the IBC light client on Avalanche. This development aims to establish seamless interoperability amongst Avalanche, Cosmos Hub, and potentially more than 100 other IBC-enabled chains. An incentivized testnet is scheduled for launch by Landslide on November 1st, which marks a significant stride for IBC's integration with Avalanche.
Bitcoin Welcomed into the Interchain
In another exciting development, Bitcoin has been welcomed into the Interchain. As per sources, IBC Bitcoin has arrived following the completion of the interchain upgrade by @nomicbtc. This completion enables nBTC to be transferable via IBC. With Nomic's non-custodial Bitcoin bridge now fully functioning, it's evident that the so-called 'IBCification' of the blockchain industry continues to progress.
Celestia Enters the Interchain
Last but not least, Celestia has been welcomed into the Interchain. As per available information, Celestia is a Cosmos SDK chain and a modular data availability network.
