Axelar's Proposal to Adjust AXL Tokenomics

Last week, a proposal was published by the Axelar Foundation with the aim of adjusting the AXL tokenomics. The purpose of these modifications is to facilitate permissionless, non-dilutive new-chain connections over an extended period. The proposed measures are designed to allow Axelar to scale alongside a potential surge in Ethereum Virtual Machines Layer 2 (EVM L2s) or in any ecosystem for that matter. The success of this governance, however, hinges on public participation.

Upcoming AMA to Discuss Proposed Changes

An Ask Me Anything (AMA) session is scheduled for October 18th to discuss these proposed changes. Interested parties are encouraged to join the discussion and contribute their views on the matter. For those who wish to read more about the proposal before participating in the AMA, the thread can be found on Axelar's twitter handle. Similarly, comments on the original post can be made via Axelar's community network.

Axelar's AMA Schedule for October 18th

On October 18th, two AMA sessions will take place. The first will occur at 11am EST / 3pm UTC where Axelar Foundation will discuss the proposed changes to AXL tokenomics. Later on, at 15hs Mexico time / 16hs Colombia time / 18hs Argentina and Chile time, there will be a LatAm AMA with rotam to discuss Axelar’s ecosystem. Participants are encouraged to set a reminder and join the conversation.

Axelar Now Supports 50 Chains

In other news, with the addition of Scroll, Axelar now officially supports 50 chains. This is a significant achievement as Axelar's goal has always been to connect the interchain future. These 50 chains are just the beginning of what's to come. The public is encouraged to show their support for this milestone by liking and sharing the announcement on Axelar's official Twitter account.
